Our aim
is to make shopping on this site as simple and as convenient
as possible. But don't worry if you make a mistake or get
lost, as our helpful staff are always on hand to solve any
problems or correct any mistakes you've made while ordering!

Please
note thast this site uses SSL technology at the ordering stage
to protect you when entering your credit card details. This
means that any data you enter into the credit card purchase
form at the end of the buying process is encrypted to prevent
anyone stealing your details. When entering credit card details
on this site (or any web site!), always look for the padlock
which appears at the bottom right of your web browser.

Browsing
the product catalogue
Use the
menu on the left-hand side of each page to select the type
of product you wish to browse. When you click on one of these
links, you will be presented with the first 10 products in
the catalogue for that category. To further refine your selection,
you can also use the drop-down menu on the top of each such
page (where available) to select a sub-category and click
the "go" button to create your list.
If there
are more than 10 products in a category, you can use the "next
10" and "previous 10" links at the bottom of
each page to navigate through the entire list of products
for that section.

Using
the Shopping Basket
As you
browse through the catalogue, you can add products to a virtual
shopping basket which you can review later and use to make
your purchases, just as you would in a real shop. To put items
in the basket, click the "buy" button next to any
product. Please note at this stage you are NOT committing
to a purchase - simply storing the item in a list to buy later
if you want to.
When you
click a "buy" button, you will be shown your shopping
basket with the item added to it. To return to where you were
in the catalogue, simply click the "Continue Shopping"
link at the bottom of the shopping basket page.
You can
return to review your list in the shopping basket at any time
by clicking on the "view shopping basket" link at
any time you are on the site. The site will remember your
selections for as long as you remain on the site. Please note,
however, should you click away from our site, your basket
will be emptied and if you return, your list will have disappeared!
While
reviewing your shopping basket, you can change the quantities
of a particular item that you mike like to order, mor remove
products from the list. Each item is stored in rows and each
row has a quantity box. To change the quantity you wish to
store or order, simply change the number inside the quantity
box, then click the "update" button at the right-hand
side of that row. To remove an item, set the quantity to zero
and click update.

Making
a Pruchase
If you
have items in your shopping basket and wish to order those
items, simply click the "checkout" link at any time
you are ready to complete your order. This takes you to the
first part of a three-stage process. In the first section,
you have a choice of filling in your membership number and
password if you are a DSI Privilege member (see membership
below), or of not, fill in your name and address details as
indicated in the form further down the page. Please ensure
at this point you select the correct shipping region from
the drop-down menu, and the correct country/region from a
similar drop down menu. This will help the system to correctly
work out any delivery charges accurately, and whether or not
you should be charged UK Sales Tax (VAT).
The following
page will show you your totals for your purchase, which you
should check carefully, especially the sections for VAT (if
applicable to you) and delivery charges. Once you are happy
that these are correct, you should click the "Confirm
Order" button.
Once you
have clicked the "Confirm Order" button, you will
then be transferred to our secure server with SSL technology
which encryts your communication with the site to protect
your privacy while entering your credit card details to complete
your purchase. Please note that only when you reach this stage
is your order complete, subject to our terms & conditions.

What
Happens next?
Once you
have entered your credit card details and submitted your order,
it will be processed as soon as possible by a member of our
staff. You will be issued with a confirmation of your order
by email within a few minutes of submitting your order. In
addition to confirming your order, this email will also containg
an order tracking reference, which you can use to track the
progress of your order online, and which you should also quote
should you wish to telephone or email us with a question about
your order.
When you
have recieved your order tracking reference, you can return
to this site at any time and enter it into the box marked
"Track Your Order" on the front page of the site.
Carefully enter your order reference in the box provided and
click the "Go" button, and you will see a page detailing
the progress of your order. On this page you will be able
to see:
- If
the order has been accepted/confirmed
- If
payment has been recieved and accepted
- If
the order has or has not been shipped
- Comments
from our staff if there has been a problem or any other
issue with your order.
Also on
this page will be a complete list of items ordered plus all
costs and total price paid.
